Never been to a fishery in months but was dismayed to go here today this email to the owner explains all.

Dear Sir it is with dismay I write to you for an explanation to your false impression given at this time on your fishery flyer (A wonderful environment for the fly fisher).
I and four other anglers attended your fishery today 29 September 2007 and paid £23 each for a day’s fishing £115. After setting up we were greeted to the constant noise of a digger with a pecker (hammer drill) breaking rock for 2 hours constant. Considering this was a Saturday and would in most cases be the busiest day of the week for visiting fishermen. Can you explain why this would be taking place and no warning signs or information was given prior to our group paying to fish the venue. This being the first of annoying distractions on the day, the second was then introduced to the fishermen on the bank nearest to the hut, When the digger then started to drop Concrete and plastic pipes in the water, the third and final straw was a seven ton dumper then dropping the broken rock into the water, this was carried out on three occasions. At this point we decided to leave the fishery and asked to speak to the fishery owner. The fishery manager on duty informed us you were not available but would have you phone us. At this point we have still received no phone call from you.
Your manager informed us that dropping these rocks in the water brought the fish on, so therefore we as fly fishermen should now carry rocks with us when fishing and throw them in the water prior to fishing at all venues to bring the fish on.
Stocking other fish might bring the fish on or disturb them into moving and at no point did I or any other person see any fish being stocked.
Your manager seems to be under the impression that myself was not happy at not having caught a fish and was using this as an excuse. Sorry but 7 people left the fishery for the same reason as me; they were not prepared to fish on a building site where the water was being disturbed by construction work on the bank where we were fishing and have a dumper, dump rocks in the water.
For the record some of the group had caught fish prior to pipes and rock being dumped in the water.
I attach a picture of the digger in action on the banking.
We as a group would expect to be compensated for the farcical going on at your establishment via a refund.
I informed your manager if you did not contact us (Two phone numbers were left with the manager) I would report today’s events on fishing forums. Can you explain why your manager refused to refund us any of the fees for broken promises of a wonderful environment to fish in?
The reason we left was because we did not intend to fish under these circumstances any longer and I am sure there would be full backing from the majority of fly fishermen with our stance in this instance.
I look forward to your response on this matter.
