RUFF (Gymnocephalus cernua)

I nobody deliberately fishes for these little uglies, but I thought it might be an idea to hear from people who do this year. Proliferation etc.

I hooked five last year in the F&C, all of them tiny of course.

Come to think of it, I also caught some brown trout in the F&C last year, but nobody believes me.

ruffe

I have had a handful on lomond and on loch ken and from the endrick but none in numbers to the extent that the drama queens make out?. They probably peaked in these places in the eighties then the predator prey balance readressed itself.

I have also had Trout from the canal near Dullater.
Didn't know there were Ruffe there though.
