no naming of watersi know a lot of people like to keep there favourite waters secret,me included but do you not think we go over the top sometimes,it certainly curtails discussion as guys are put off talking about waters for fear of getting verbally abused on forums ,just a thought

You are spot on ive postede for any info for loch awe and had no response back It seems that every one wants to keep all there info to them self instead of helping out fellow anglers...

everyone knows that most lochs in scotland hold pike.lochs like awe,tay and lomond are probably the most well know.
I see nothing wrong with naming waters and giving out info about permits,accomodation etc.
What is wrong is telling people about where they caught big pike i.e i caught the 35lber 3 boulders up from the fallen tree next to river bla bla etc etc.All you would get is every angler who reads the forums in the named swim.
So if you want to name waters,go ahead!!!

yea i did.
i am just thinking of the area that we are going to fish.
any info on the surrounding area would be great..
Instead of going there and drawing a blank...when someone cld have recomended a better place.
We all know were the best swims and lies are by now surelly

Naming waters..Loch mcgoobligan near auchterarder is fishing well at the moment with several twenties out in one day..

Totally agree with you guys on this one, certain forums just about string you up for asking for some quite innocent information about venues!
