has anyone fished loch doon for pike in ayrshirehas anyone fished loch doon for pike in ayrshire and what do you think about it for fishing any top spots you recommend for fishing at loch doon from the bank many thanks . i just got my first ever 10 pounder at mill loch in lochmaben dumfriesshire on friday the 18 th may very happy but that was the only show as i lost 2 one put up a wee bit of a fight and out came the hook still a good day i have put a picture in the gallery for you all to see

Not worth trying for Pike according to the locals, not supposed to be any in it which I find surprising. It is stuffed full of small Trout and Perch.
I have never seen anyone at all even trying it for Pike.

cheers that will save me a journey i will try kirk loch in lochmaben i am told it holds a few over 20lbs so will give it a go many thanks

Loch Doon has allsorts inc. Salmon, Brownies, Ferox and Sea Trout, Arctic Char, Eels, Lamprey, Pike and Perch.
