No it looks like it has been dead for a wee while... no wonder it says it was her first pike ppl like that shld not be aloud near a water that holds pike like that

its joke its all these lidls fisherman that are giving pike fishing and other fishing bad names now all the cheap tackle the it total crap its sickens me when i see thing like that

picture /recordthat photo in the record makes my blood boil to me that is all the anti's need to jump on the band wagon .we have enough problems through our sport without jo public seeing barbaric pictures in a scottish paper boga grippers should be treated like pike gags ban them totally   i think i will email that rag and let them know my views on it cheers lads (ps this is my very first post on this forum)...

just had a look at that photo what a shame a beauty of a fish like that had to be displayed like that.SHAME ON THE SO CALLED ANGLER AND SHAME ON THAT BLOODY SO CALLED NEWSPAPER.

I know you might be told to go away (EDIT) but surely if people are new to the sport it would be nice if more experienced people could pass on their knowledge to these people who probably dont know any better.
On a more serious note the Record should not have published this pic they really should know better.

Nice fish but how did it manage to make it as fish of the week being treated like that? A dead salmon or trout maybe but a pike??

I remember this picture and it was a sorry sight.  
Just wish I could hold the bint of a woman in the same way and see how she likes that!
